Lauren received her Bachelor’s degree in voice performance from Oklahoma State University and her Master’s in voice pedagogy from New England Conservatory of Music. During her time at NEC, she worked in Dr. Ian Howell’s Voice and Sound Analysis lab. There, she used eye-tracking to conduct research on attention, cognitive load, and variations in acoustic qualities of the singing voice across graduate singers and conducting students. In the future, she plans to pursue an M.S./Ph.D. in speech and communication disorders with aspirations of becoming a speech-language pathologist and to continue working in the field of voice science.
